If your tooth has been damaged beyond repair or if you suffer from overcrowding, you may require a tooth extraction.

This is a common and typically uncomplicated procedure which we can provide at Cygnet House Dental Studio. Our team are highly experienced and able to remove your problem tooth in our comfortable, air conditioned and hygienic practice.

While our first aim is to keep your natural teeth in place for as long as we can, in some circumstances, extractions are a necessary and essential treatment to ensure the long term health of your remaining teeth and gums.

You may require an extraction for any of the following reasons:

• A tooth has fractured or is damaged and cannot be effectively restored
• Your teeth are overcrowded and you’re due to start orthodontic treatment
• Severe gum disease has compromised your teeth
• Wisdom teeth have become impacted

In rare, complex cases we can refer you to an oral surgeon who can extract your teeth under general anaesthetic or with additional sedation.  Mitchell rarely refers patients out as he spent some time working within Boston Hospital’s Oral and Maxillofacial unit, dealing with the referrals for extraction they received, meaning he can deal with most extraction scenarios in house reducing waiting times.
