If a tooth is damaged beyond repair or if overcrowding is an issue, you may need a tooth extraction.

This common and generally straightforward procedure can be carried out at Cygnet House Dental Studio in our comfortable, air-conditioned, and hygienic practice. 

While we always aim to preserve natural teeth whenever possible, extractions are sometimes necessary to protect the long-term health of your remaining teeth and gums. 

You may need an extraction if: 

• A tooth is fractured or too damaged to restore 

• Teeth are overcrowded and orthodontic treatment is planned 

• Severe gum disease has compromised the tooth 

• Wisdom teeth are impacted 

Dimitrios and Rose have completed courses in minor oral surgery, and Rose is currently undertaking a diploma in minor oral surgery. This experience means most extractions can be managed in-house, reducing waiting times and providing care in a familiar, supportive environment. In rare or complex cases, we can refer patients to an oral surgeon for extraction under general anaesthetic or additional sedation.
