An inlay fits within the corners (cusps) of the tooth, while an onlay provides extra coverage by overlapping the corners. Both require minimal preparation of the natural tooth before being fixed in place. 

We may recommend an inlay or onlay to: 

• Protect a tooth damaged by decay 

• Strengthen worn teeth (for example, due to grinding or clenching) 

• Reduce sensitivity 

• Replace weakened silver fillings 

Treatment usually takes two appointments. At the first visit, Dimitrios or Rose will prepare the tooth and take an impression for our laboratory to craft your inlay or onlay. Once ready, you’ll return for fitting and bonding, restoring both function and appearance.
