Crowns (also called caps) can be made from metal alloys, porcelain, or all-resin. Porcelain crowns are popular for their natural appearance, especially for front teeth, as they allow light to pass through like a real tooth and minimise visible lines at the gum. Your dentist will help you choose the material that best suits your needs. 

To place a crown, Dimitrios or Rose will reshape the affected tooth and take an impression for the laboratory. This impression can be done traditionally or using an intraoral scanner for a digital, highly precise option. A temporary crown is fitted while the permanent one is made. At your next appointment, the permanent crown is cemented in place, and you’ll receive guidance on caring for your new restoration.
