A CBCT scan is a type of advanced x-ray and for some treatments is essential for assessing the health and strength of your jaw bone – especially useful if you’re considering dental implant treatment. The equipment is shaped like a cone and rotates around your head, taking hundreds of images of your jaw and connected bones from every angle.

The 3D images produced by this advanced scanning equipment gives us a clear and highly accurate view of your jaw and allows us to plan treatment with greater accuracy and clarity.  It is especially useful in the removal of some upper and lower teeth where without this technology we would not know where the nerves or the sinuses are in relation to the tooth roots and this helps us very carefully plan how we remove certain teeth and plan the size and position of dental implants.
